Serious Concern

4 comments:

  1. SPRING??? It's between -18C and -26C with wind chills of up to -40C here in Toronto! I wish I was with you where the weather is civilized. Being croissant-less is the least of my worries; the campaign for central heating in my litter box is heating up! (No pun intended) Sadly, my litter box remains an ice box. My life is one painful disappointment after another.

    1. I'm very sorry I took so long to reply. I have been thinking about you, however and wondering whether it has got any warmer there. Has it? I hate to think of your dainty toes being subjected to ice and snow. It's not how I imagine you living at all. But it makes my admiration for you all the stronger - your bravery and stoicism and the way you value your hygiene. Anyone less than a princess or similar royal personage, such as yourself, might not bother, under the circumstances. So hats off to you, Queen Gracie.

  2. A lack or croissants and warmer weather correlate to each other, dear Plum. The intake of fewer "junk" calories prepares a body for warmer weather and body exposure. You can't have it both ways - you can have cold with croissants or warm without.

  3. Well, thank you for telling me. You are obviously in league with Emma. There hasn't been a croissant in sight for a fortnight now and I've no wish to share her porridge, so I'm feeling pretty fed up, thank you very much.
