Birthday Girl

  1. Poor Barney looks absolutely mortified! I'll bet Alfie and Greta are happy you are long lost if you are going to be mean to them when they came to celebrate YOUR birthday. That Is Not What Good Girls Do; even I know that! (My Mum repeats it a thousand times a day) Sometimes I even listen.
    Happy Birthday Miss Mannered!

  2. Dear Plum,
I am all confused now as to where to picture you. I assume that was in London. I doubt your relatives would have made the trip to your seaside shoebox, and if they had they would never have come again by the look of it.
Are you enjoying the snow? When I was a young dog I used to scream and run about in it, but now I just have a lovely long slow roll. James always says 'How can you DO that?', but you know how delicate these feeble hairless persons are. I'm sure Gracie would agree.

    1. When we do actually get snow on my balcony I like to bounce about like a rabbit and then try to crawl under it all; I suppose you and Plum Delicious like to do the same thing. Meaghan refuses to set paw out onto the balcony until my Mum sweeps it all clean. This poses a problem when Meaghan wants to use the litter box in the middle of the night and it has snowed; my Mum looks pretty grim out there in her housecoat and boots sweeping away in the dark. Afterwards my Mum stomps in, snarls "you're lucky I love you" and flops back into bed.

    2. Dear Gracie,
We are waiting and waiting for the snow and I think it might come next week.Everything you tell me about your mom makes me think she is really a proper animal lover. She puts you first at all times, as she should. Getting up in the middle of the night is a good test. I have often put Emma through it and so far, she has passed but never with a very good attitude. This is something I am working on.

    3. I agree completely Plum: my Mum should put Me first at all times! I just wish she would learn to be a little more gracious about it.

  3. Hello. My name is Panda and I am a very delicious half whippet half miniature poodle- called a Pippit. I am white with a black pirate patch over my right eye. It's a bit embarrassing but I'm looking for a husband. I'm too sweet natured and funny not to have puppies! Would you be able to ask Barney (or Alfie but Barney sounds as though he has better manners!) if they might be interested in meeting me to see if we like each other? Paws crossed....Love Panda x

    1. Dear Panda,
You sound very attractive. I will certainly ask but I fear you may be disappointed because I think that both of them have had an operation to stop them making any puppies. But I will check.
      Lots of love Plum x

    2. I feared as much. Every kind and handsome dog I meet has had his bits taken off. Very disappointing. I did meet a nice dog in Ravenscourt Park this weekend but my mum didn't get his number.. Thanks for checking for me. Hard to find a whippit poodle mix...Love Panda. X
