  1. Bravo Emma and Plum. Thank goodness the ducks fell when you were passing by. Who knew mother ducks nested high up in buildings? Surely there are nicer nooks and crannies.

    1. dear Jill,

I'm afraid they might be all along the river in London, nesting in concrete balconies. We are too anxious to walk along there in case we find some more. I don't expect the river Thames is any safer than the balconies.

  2. OH DEAR! Emma and Plum are heros for saving all of those baby ducks! How smart to think about dropping them into the river. I don't know if we would be that smart. xoxox Vicki and Tulip

    1. Dear Vicki and Tulip
I don't know if it was very smart but at least they swam away with their mother. How long they survived after that is anybody's guess. Probably a very difficult place for little ducklings.

    1. Dear Ellie and Giorgi,
I wish you had been there. I expect you would have known exactly what to do. It was a bit worrying.

  4. Dear Plum,
Good heavens what interesting walks you have. I think you both did brilliantly, and you should award yourselves a punnet of raspberries or something for service to ducks.
I have Molly staying with me again for a week. Her message to you is OOO! Because she SQUEAKS with EMOTION! Like that ALL THE TIME! OOO PLUM! I LOVE YOU! I've never met such a talkative dog, but she's terrific. love, James
