It's Mine

  1. Dear Plum,

Emma will soon realise that all sticks belongs to you. It took me twelve years, but my family has finally figured it out. I sometimes let them throw it for me though.

    Happy fetching!

    1. Dear Giorgi,
So far it is 7 years and there seems to be no flicker of understanding on this point. Do I really have to go on battling for another 5?

  2. There is a fundamental different of attitude here. For humans, the game is Throw and Retrieve. For certain dogs, it is Retrieve and Wrestle. In my experience there is no way of bridging this gulf.
I was mortified to have missed your birthday, Plum, so belated greetings and long-distance hugs.

    1. Thank you James. It's kind of you to have noticed. The celebrations were a bit lacklustre here.
You are very astute about retrieving - I am not a retriever unless there is some incentive other than praise. I generally like to keep things that I bother to pick up and I have a strong grip. I suppose I am as disappointing to Emma as she is to me at times.

  3. Dear Plum,
I had fun playing in the park with my friends and sticks to today. I was made to leave my stick at the park. I wanted to keep the stick. Love Guy Xx

    1. Dear Guy,
I hope you found it the next day but I expect some thuggy dog came along and decimated it. I keep quite a few by the front door but they are never as interesting the next day.
