Thank you Ellie. I will do my best even though she sometimes has some strange ideas. I just wait for those ones to melt away and then the improved ones filter through, usually. xx
"Where are they now?" So funny! I'm a recent visitor to your lovely blog and so pleased it's made into a book. I thought it should the minute I saw it! xx
Vets are always a good thing. If when we were out Katie cut her paw or got something in her eye, on the way home she would always drag me into the bus shelter and sit firmly down. 'Take me to the man who makes me feel better,' she seemed to be saying. And I did. I'm afraid I will not be taking up your idea of inviting the man with the big dog to lunch. I once invited him to afternoon coffee, and he turned up at 5.30 and stayed till 8.30. As for encouraging him to start writing again, in my position the fewer people doing that the better. Which brings me to a question. I am soon going to start a blog myself, based on my stories inspired by Katie and her sister Jess. When I'm up and 'live' (I think that's what it's called) could I mention the fact here in case anyone is interested? We won't be rivals, I promise. I see us more as comrades in the struggle of liberation for creative artists. love, James
Thank you for your words of encouragement, Ellie. The stories aren't actually about Katie and Jess, but two characters based on their personalities: Miss Pringle, a prim canine headmistresss, and her sister the supermodel Octavia de Beauvoir. Emma has read some of the first story and liked it. Plum permitting, I'll let you know here when the blog is available. James
Oh Plum! It's bad enough that you had to go through THAT but then Emma had to go and DRAW A PICTURE OF IT?!? You should go...I don't know...chew her favorite show or something. The indignity of it all.
Don't worry, Hilarie. Between us, the nice vet and I hatched a revenge plan. Emma has to collect my poo samples for the next three days and somehow get them all together in a little tiny pot. The vet said "Make sure you have plenty of Wet Wipes!" Ha ha. xx
Dear Plum, we hope you are feeling better. Tulip and I know that having a good vet is most important for good health. Please take care of yourself. Love and prayers for a speedy recovery, Vicki and Tulip xoxoxo
Dear Kind Vicki and Tulip, I am getting better. I had a scary turn, maybe because I had a bad tummy, but we have got a very good vet and I have lots of pills to take for a few days. Then I will be completely better. Love from Plum xxxxxx
Dear Plum, I don't like going to the doctors because there is nothing to do there. I'd much rather go to the vets. Did you know I have done a dog show, and I won it (my class). From Guy xx
