  1. Oh my God Emma, you must have been horrified! I hope Plum is feeling better soon and that you have the name and number of the person with the vicious dog. They should be responsible for Plum's vet bills at the very least. I am so sorry that this happened to you. Give your furry friend a kiss and a (gentle) hug for me.

  2. Oh how horrible, I despair at some owners who let dogs just rampage, hope Plumdog is better soon, with love from "Boy" the Bedlington.

  7. Oh Plum, you poor thing ...hope you're feeling better. If it's any consolation Emma, I went all woozy when my daughters head was being stitched up....the gaping hole in it and seeing them inject her head was horrifying. Went down like a ton of bricks...

  8. I echo the horrified comments above. Personally I have never been bitten, although I've threatened to do it to plenty of other dogs in my time. I suppose my worst experience was when I got stuck in an icy flooded pipe. James thought had gone home, so he walked back across the fields calling to me, and meanwhile there I was stuck in the pipe listening to his voice retreat into the distance! Even when he came back he stood right next to me thinking my whimpers were a tweeting bird. I'm sure you'll agree after that I deserve all the Hula Hoops I can get.
All your human fans give you a big kiss, and I look sympathetically at you. love Katie

  11. Thank you ALL for your kind messages and concern. Plum is much better. Still on antibiotics but it's healing up nicely and she is a lot happier.

  13. I am so glad to hear that Plum is getting better, I was wondering how things were going. The only good thing about this episode is that you have to give antibiotics to a dog. Try giving a pill or any other meds to a cat and it never ends well, blood is lost and tears are shed and none of it is from the cat!
