    1. Dear Vicki and Tulip,
You know I have come to rely on you to boost my morale at difficult moments, and even those moments when it is already flying high. Thank you for your encouragement.

  3. Dear Plum, well done on giving the impression you are helping in the garden. My efforts of digging up mum's flowerbed was not appreciated even though I worked very hard. Love Alf x

    1. Dear Alf,
No, I know what you mean. It seems the harder we try, the less we are appreciated. Keep up the good work though.

  4. Dear Plum,
If you get tired of the late nights, you could try scattering sand or broken egg shells around the plants so that the slugs won't be able to cross. Take your bucket and spade next time you're at the seaside. love, James

  5. Dispatch: to send off or away with promptness or speed; especially to send off on official business.

Where do you send them, Plum dear? Doing it in the middle of the night seems rather ...well... rude. Aren't they in their pajamas then? Seems like it would be kinder to dispatch them at a decent hour in the morning, when they've had a change to brush their teeth and so on. ??

    1. I think you must have spotted my spelling mistake… dispatch, dispatch, dispatch. What I really meant was we send them into space. They fly up to the stars. They like it. My daddy says so. I don't think it matters if they are wearing their pyjamas or not because they already have helmets. And they definitely don't brush their teeth. Do you live on this planet?? Sometimes I wonder…
      Love, respectfully, Plum xx

    2. Spelling mistake? I missed it completely (and would never have mentioned it in any case!)

How exciting that your slugs get to fly into space. Now mine are going to want to go too....
