  1. Hi Plum, We just borrowed your book from the library and we loved it sooooo much that we made our mum read us the whole thing in one go ( we are on school holidays so she was agreeable). We talked about a similar book for our cat Bella but realised it would be terribly dull as it would only contain lots of pictures of her napping in all the sunny parts of the house. We can't wait for book two and please come visit us if you are ever down here in Australia. Our winters are really sunny and glorious here in Brisbane and we have possums that you would really be tempted to catch. From Jack and Emmeline age 9 & 6.

    1. Dear Jack and Emmeline,
Thank you for your message. I would love to come to Australia. I'd like to meet a kangaroo and chase the possums very much. Also I'd like to meet your cat, Bella. I have one cat friend (who I've never met) called Gracie - see below, but she doesn't like swimming. Does Bella? I'm glad you like my book. I hope you didn't notice the rude words.

  2. Dear Soggy Plum,
You are wet, wild, and wooly, as well! As we have established; water is not something I care to immerse myself in, but you do look like you and your friends were having a ball.
I noticed Clara had a big smile on her face; is she becoming nicer to you now that she knows she has friends and people who love her? I hope so; you two had a rocky start, but I think Clara was probably just trying to overcome her past.

    1. Dear Queen Gracie,
Actually it wasn't Clara. It just looked like her. She lives quite a long way away so I don't see her very much, but she broke her leg jumping over a wall and now she's not so bouncy. I am going to be much nicer to her now.
I wish you would change your mind about swimming.

    2. Dear Plum,

The water thing is never going to happen.

I am sorry to hear about Clara; maybe you could give her one of your chicken doughnuts to cheer her up.

      Love, Gracie

  4. Dear Chairman Plum,
You know what they say, variety is the spice of life. Actually the spice of life for me would be a permanent heatwave so I didn't have to do any walks and could just sit on the village green watching the world go by. Well, watching one pedestrian every ten minutes go by. And the odd tractor. Lovely. Still, in middle age I suppose the odd walk keeps James supple. love, Katie x

    1. You'd better keep that James moving, Katie. It's your only job. Middle age is no excuse.
