Dear Plum I completely understand your apparent disloyalty. When my Dogfather looked after me when my mum and dad went away I had such a terrific time I forgot all about them. I think I convinced them I still loved them when they got home but secretly I hope they go away again so I get spoilt rotten. Love Alf x
I have been pushing holiday brochures under Emma's nose this week, hoping she might think it was time for another expedition, but I heard her say she has no plans to go anywhere for ages - so I'm absolutely stuck. Love Plum xx
I don't often write to you directly (Ellie usually does it for me), but after reading your diary entry this week I knew the time had come.
My congratulations on taking Emma's feelings into account. She would have been devastated had she thought you forgot about them. We have a responsibility to our "people", after all.
Dear Giorgi, Sorry I've been so slow to reply. How nice of you to write. Yes, sometimes I do remember to take Emma's feelings seriously and do my best to help her stave off her crippling neuroses. It's quite hard work, but the rewards are plenty, in the end. Love Plum x
You can't hide your real feelings, Plum. They show in every lick. Molly did this when her owner came to collect her - luckily, as I was worried I had spoiled her so much she wouldn't want to go home. So where do I go from here? The local dog rescue shelter, perhaps... James
I am trying to do that. The only problem is the husbands. I mean I do like my daddy, of course, but there is something very cosy about being all sisters together. xx
Sometimes I feel the same way when I'm at my Granny and grandpa's house. Love Guy XX PS. Guy is dividing his attention between chocolate cake and your blog at the moment!
Dear Guy, I'm sorry I've been so slow to reply. Please don't talk about chocolate cake because I'm not allowed it, but I'm glad you are having it and I'm glad you were reading my blog. I haven't seen Maddy for a bit. I'm hoping I might feel more friendly next time. But I doubt it. Love Plum xx

I think you should convince Fia and Liffey to come live with you. Then it would be happy times always.
