My Holiday Project

  1. Dear Plum,
OOO! Guess who this is? You got it, IT'S MOLLY! As you may remember I SQUEAK with EMOTION! Like that ALL THE TIME! Anyway I'm just writing to say how much I admire your tenacity. My own passion is finding very small pieces of paper and refusing to let them go. I stand in front of James and show him the paper, then when he reaches out to take it I turn deftly away. This goes on for quite a long time. And if he finally gets cross and says "Oh go on have it then!", I rub the paper challengingly on his leg. Why should we be thwarted? We are quite entitled to our hobbies just like anyone else. OOO PLUM! I LOVE YOU!

    1. Dear Molly,
I'm glad you are there to look after that James. I hope you can stay for a good long time. But, I hope you will calm down a bit. I am not very good at dealing with emotional dogs, being rather emotional myself and I can get a bit snappy, so perhaps tone it down a little in your next message, (if you are kind enough to write again) as all that whooping made me a bit growly.

  2. Oh Dear! Plum, did they tell you how bad sea water is? Please take care of your self! Sea water is very corrosive and has many bad bacteria floating around in it! We hope you will come to your senses soon. We love you and do not want to see you get ill. xoxoxo, Vicki and Tulip

    1. Dear Vicki and Tulip,
Don't worry! I am out now and back in the filthy Thames. (I had a swim in it this afternoon and as soon as we got home I was put in the bath- that's the downside.)I love the sea almost more than anything though. Are you sure it is really that bad?

  4. Dear Plum,
As usual, they just don't get our aspirations do they? Hence the thwarting at every turn. Although I must admit even I am a bit puzzled about the standing in the sea thing. Do you just admire the view?...or think more great thoughts?....or do you have an invisible shoal of tiny, fishy admirers worshipping at every paw? I spend hours in the sea myself but I am dedicated to reorganising all that untidy rocky stuff into a proper seawall for the future protection of dog kind.
Still, well done for so stoutly defending our rights to stand in whatever we like....
    Much love Fudgexx

  5. Dear Plum,

THOSE BOOTIES! When we were living in Canada, Ellie made me wear them on walks in winter. This was ostensibly due to the salt used on the pavement, however, I am convinced it was to humiliate me - not that I have any proof, but I am convinced.

Yours in the sincerest of sympathy,
    Giorgi

    1. Oh, Giorgi,
You understand! And it's impossible to get them off. Emma first bought them in New York. Now she gets them on the internet, so we never run out. Joy of joys.
Thank you for your kind words.
